The 4040 Reverse Osmosis System comes assembled and tested with an Axeon HF5-4040 or HF4-4040 or our LP-4040 RO Membrane..

If you are going to use a booster pump then HF4-4040 membrane can be used. If your tap pressure is under 50 PSI then we would recommend the HF5-4040 membrane.

Performance wise at 80 to 100 PSI there is no differnce between both membrane performance. It is more noticable under 50 PSI where the HF5-4040 will give more product and rejection rate slightly less.

For pre-filters we now install Pentek CFB-Plus Filter and a Sediment filter. The 10" CFB-Plus Filter needs to be changed after 37,800 litres and the sediment filter after 10,000 litres.

If you choose 20" housings then the 20" CFB Plus Filter needs to be changed after 75,700 litres and sediment filter after 22,000 litres.

To do this, first secure the champ housing and filter housing with brackets. Next, insert the clear tube into the push fit fitting on the Champ Housing.

Connect your garden hose onto the inlet of the filter housing. Attach a second hose to the pure water outlet and a third hose to the waste water outlet then backflush (gate valve open) for a minimum of 3 to 4 hours.

Finally, set the gate valve to 60% waste 40% pure and over a period of time the output ppm of the 4040 Reverse Osmosis System will drop.

To achieve maximum output on your 4040 Reverse Osmosis System the input pressure needs to be 80 psi / 5.52 bar and at least 21 litres/min coming from your water supply. A booster pump may be required to achieve the maximum output.

Tested Results though may vary due to water structure at 60% waste:

• Water Pressure - 30 PSI, Pure 90 secs per litre/ 40 Litres per hour, rejection 97%
• Water Pressure - 40 PSI, Pure 49 secs per litre/ 73 Litres per hour, rejection 97%
• Water Pressure - 80 PSI, Pure 33 secs per litre/ 109 Litres per hour, rejection 98%
• Water Pressure - 100 PSI, Pure 28 secs per litre/ 126 Litres per hour, rejection 98%

Please note lower rejection volume will reduce rejection rate

4021 Booster Pump

We have tried and tested this booster pump for over a year now and have found it to be the pump most suited to our 4021 System.

• 230VDC
• 6 l/m open flow
• 5 l/m at 80 psi (note that this is the flow from the pump)
• 1 litre per 40 secs of pure water produced when set at 80 psi using the gate valve

4040 Booster Pump

We have tried and tested this booster pump for over a year now and have found it to be the pump best suited to our 4040 System.

This is a very powerful pump, so we strongly advise that you use good quality Hoselock fittings

The motor we have changed this as we heard customers concerns they would like a quieter pump which this pump is.

Outlet and Inlet ports are John Guest push fittings. We provide 1/2" barbed stems to connect the hose

Ensure that the feed tap is in full open flow and that hoses (if used) are free of kinks

Using a 2500GPD RO membrane, this pump can produce around 1 litre per 12 sec of pure, based on 80 psi pressure

Pump is mounted on a sturdy PVC Board

Can achieve 400 litres per hour with a 2800GPD ro membrane

Warning: Allowing the pump to run dry will result in damage

V16 RO System Controller

This RO Controller is suitable for our 4021 and 4040 systems whether with or without a booster pump.

This controller will shut off the water supply when the float valve is activated and also will switch off the pump.

The V16 RO Controller automatically flushes your membrane at each start up of the system. This will prolong the life of your membrane.

500 GPD Reverse Osmosis System

500 GPD reverse osmosis membranes.

These systems consist of 2 pre filters: carbon and sediment, 1 x 500 GPD Axeon Membrane.

Input feed male hozelock adaptor which connects directly onto the hosepipe.

500 GPD Axeon Membrane is rated at 80 PSI. and at 80 PSI will give a rejection rate of 98% (May vary with very hard water)

Waste to pure water is controlled by a JG tap which we recommend no less than 60% waste.

450 GPD Reverse Osmosis System

This 450 GPD RO System is great for those on a budget who which to produce pure water over a 24 hour period into a holding tank

450 GPD reverse osmosis system comes complete with 2 x 10" Filter Housings and 3 x membrane housings mounted onto a bracket

The 450 GPD reverse osmosis system comes with a 10" sediment and carbon filter which you insert into the filter housings

3 x 150 GPD Refyne membranes are housed in the membrane housings and are tested before being sent out

Aprrox 3 metres of ¼" waste (red) and pure (blue) John Guest hose is included

Also included is a 10" spanner for the housings making it easy to close and open the filter housings

A flow restrictor along with a bypass tap to allow flushing of the reverse osmosis system

Input feed into the filter housings is male hozelock adaptor which connects directly onto the hosepipe female connector.

At low pressure of 30 PSI it will take approx 2 mins 10 secs to produce a litre of pure water. At 60 PSI it will take approx 1 min 16 secs to produce 1 litre

Waste to Pure ratio is approx 60% waste / 40% pure

Rejection rate is dependent on water hardness and water pressure and can range from 95% to 98% rejection rate
