This new membrane in the Tapetc range from Dupont (Formerly Dow) is a unique membrane as can handle very high ppm up to 2000 ppm with a rejection rate of 96% at 90 PSI inlet pressure

With inlet water lower than 500 ppm can achieve rejection rate of 98/99% depending on hardness and pressure

On low pressure this membrane can produce around 90GPD and high pressure of 90 PSI around 130 GPD which makes this membrane unique compared to others on the market

We conducted the following results with our own water at 69 ppm inlet and had the following results

Pressure - 30 PSI, 1 Litre took 9.15 mins, rejection rate 98%

Pressure - 80 PSI, 1 Litre took 3.06 mins, rejection rate 99%

Permeate obtained from the first hour of operation should be discarded.

Under certain conditions, the presence of free chlorine and other oxidizing agents will cause premature membrane failure so good regular pre-filtration is required.

The use of this product does not necessarily guarantee the removal of cysts and pathogens from water. Effective cyst and pathogen reduction is dependent on the operation and maintenance of the system

Water temperature will influence performance, in winter times production will slow.

This is a great alternative to the Axeon HF5-4040 as this has a higher flow rate so works well with low pressure. However low pressure the rejection rate is a lot lower at 91% when at 30 PSI pressure. To achieve full rejection rate 100 PSI is required.

This is a 3000 GPD membrane compared to HF5-4040 which is 2500 GPD. So at 30 PSI pressure we have found ouput is more than the Axeon HF5-4040.

Unlike other advertised membranes in this price range this operates at 100 psi compared to other ranges at 150 psi.
